How can ordinary people develop useful ideas before they become startups, research papers, or projects?
Many people have useful observations, problems, questions, or early ideas, but most of these ideas disappear before they become anything real. Formal innovation systems usually start too late. Universities wait for research proposals or papers. Accelerators wait for startup teams. Companies use internal innovation systems. Social platforms reward attention, not idea development. The problem is that there is no simple public space where ordinary people can start with an early idea and gradually develop it through feedback, discussion, branching, refinement, and validation.
Why it matters
If early ideas had a better development environment, more people could participate in innovation. Useful ideas would not depend only on institutions, funding, credentials, or existing networks. A public idea-development layer could make innovation more accessible, faster, and more diverse.
